(Full) Paediatric First Aid Course

This (Full) Paediatric First Aid course was originally designed in conjunction with the National Childminders Association (now PACEY) and Preschool Learning Alliance specifically for those working with young children. It is the twelve hour paediatric first aid course as detailed in the Early Years Foundation Stage. It may also be used to provide evidence to an NVQ assessor for those working towards and NVQ in Child Care and Education.

  • Bleeding and Shock
  • Burns
  • Sprains, Strains and fractures
  • Poisoning, bites and stings
  • Eye, nose and ear obstructions
  • Childhood conditions
  • Heart conditions
  • Meningitis

Course duration

  • 12 hours

  • Closed courses can be held at your site for your group of up to 12 students at times and date to suit you

Assessment

  • Continuous assessment by trainer

Certificate

  • A MGM Training Twelve Hour Paediatric First Aid certificate which is valid for three years, will be awarded on successful completion of the course
  • Complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage 2017 requirements ( EYFS ) for registered child care settings
